A series of 'transfer ink' drawn mono prints. Transfer monos are one offs, unpredictable & at times, frustrating. It suits a drawn/sketch approach & for that reason it's one of my favourite techniques.
A thin layer of ink is rolled out on a flat, hard surface (usually glass) Paper is carefully laid on top. The image is drawn on the 'back' of the paper using pens or pencils & that pressure 'pulls' the ink from the surface. When the paper is pulled back, you are never too sure what will be there. That's what makes this process so exciting.
